Everything you need to know about swapping SPL tokens on Solana with RayDEX.

RayDEX is a Solana-native DEX aggregator that simultaneously queries 45+ decentralized exchanges and liquidity pools on Solana to find and execute the best possible swap route for your SPL tokens. It is non-custodial, requires no account, and executes swaps in a single on-chain transaction.
The name reflects two ideas: the "ray" of a converging light beam, representing routing many liquidity sources into a single optimal path, and the raw speed of Solana itself. RayDEX aims to be the fastest way to get from one token to another on Solana.
No. RayDEX has no sign-up, no email, and no KYC. Your wallet is your identity. Simply connect a supported Solana wallet and you can start swapping immediately.
RayDEX is a decentralized interface accessible from anywhere with an internet connection and a compatible wallet. Users are responsible for complying with the regulations of their own jurisdiction.
RayDEX runs as a responsive web app that works on any mobile browser, and integrates directly with the Phantom mobile app and Solana Mobile Wallet Adapter for on-the-go swapping. A dedicated native app is on the roadmap.
RayDEX currently operates without a native governance token. Any future token launch will be announced exclusively through official RayDEX channels — always verify announcements before interacting with any claimed token contract.
RayDEX is developed by an independent team focused exclusively on Solana DeFi infrastructure. The protocol's programs are open for review, and routing logic is continuously refined as new Solana liquidity sources come online.
Connect your Phantom wallet using the "Connect Wallet" button. Select your input token (e.g., USDC) and output token (e.g., SOL). Review the quoted rate, estimated output, and route breakdown. Click "Swap Now" and approve the transaction in Phantom. Your swapped tokens arrive in under a second thanks to Solana's fast block times.
RayDEX's routing engine simultaneously queries 45+ DEX pools and liquidity sources including Raydium, Orca, Meteora, Phoenix and many more. It uses a pathfinding algorithm to split your order optimally across multiple pools, minimizing price impact. The engine updates quotes every few seconds to ensure you always act on fresh, accurate pricing.
Slippage is the acceptable difference between your quoted price and the executed price, caused by price movement between quote and confirmation. For most Solana stablecoin swaps, 0.1%–0.5% is sufficient. For volatile or low-cap tokens, use 1% or higher. RayDEX's "Auto" mode sets the optimal slippage based on the pair's historical volatility, which is the easiest option for most users.
Price impact measures how much your own trade moves the pool price, which matters most for large orders in thinner pools. RayDEX reduces price impact by splitting large trades across multiple Solana liquidity sources instead of routing the full amount through a single pool.
There is no protocol-enforced minimum, though very small trades may be impractical once rent and network fees are considered. Maximum size is limited only by available liquidity across the aggregated pools; RayDEX will show a rate warning if a trade is large enough to cause significant price impact.
You can get quotes and preview routes without connecting a wallet. However, to execute a swap you must connect a compatible wallet so RayDEX can build the transaction for you to sign and receive the output tokens. No account, email, or KYC registration is ever required — wallet connection is all you need.
Because RayDEX settles entirely on Solana, swaps typically confirm in well under a second thanks to Solana's ~400ms slot times and fast finality — among the quickest settlement experiences in DeFi.
If a swap cannot execute within your set slippage tolerance, the transaction fails on-chain and your original tokens remain in your wallet, minus the small network fee already spent on the attempted transaction. No funds are lost or held by RayDEX.
RayDEX currently focuses on instant market swaps at the best available aggregated rate. Limit order functionality is on the product roadmap for a future release.
RayDEX is primarily a swap aggregator rather than its own liquidity pool. The "View Pools" section links out to the underlying Solana DEXes such as Raydium and Orca where you can provide liquidity directly if you choose to.
RayDEX charges a protocol fee starting at 0.01% of swap value, one of the lowest in the industry. You also pay the underlying Solana network fee — typically a fraction of a cent. The total displayed rate is always inclusive of all fees, so what you see in the quote is exactly what you receive. No hidden charges.
Solana's base transaction fee is fixed per signature rather than auctioned like a gas market, and its parallelized runtime keeps throughput high even under load. This is why a typical RayDEX swap costs a small fraction of a cent in base fees.
A priority fee is an optional extra payment that helps a transaction get included faster when the network is busy. RayDEX can dynamically add a small priority fee during periods of congestion to improve the odds your swap lands in the very next block, and this is reflected transparently in your quote.
No. The quote shown before you confirm a swap already reflects the protocol fee, the routed pools' spread, and the estimated network fee. RayDEX does not add any additional undisclosed markup on top of the displayed rate.
Yes. Even when swapping between two SPL tokens, Solana transaction fees and rent for any new token accounts are paid in SOL. Keeping a small SOL balance in your wallet is required for smooth swapping on RayDEX.
Quotes refresh automatically every few seconds by re-scanning all aggregated Solana pools, so the rate you confirm is always close to current market conditions rather than a stale snapshot.
Yes. If you find a verifiably better rate for the same pair and size within 30 seconds of your RayDEX quote, the platform will match it. This is possible because RayDEX already routes across the large majority of Solana's active liquidity.
Yes. RayDEX is fully non-custodial — your funds never leave your wallet until the swap executes atomically. Programs are reviewed by independent security researchers and all routing uses time-tested Solana DEX protocols. MEV protection shields your swaps from front-running bots.
MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) actors monitor pending transactions and try to sandwich or front-run swaps, forcing traders to buy at a worse price. RayDEX routes transactions through protected paths and tuned priority fees so opportunistic bots have a much smaller edge, protecting the value of your trade.
RayDEX's on-chain programs undergo independent security review before deployment, and the routing logic is continuously monitored. Audit reports and program addresses are published for anyone to verify on-chain.
Never. RayDEX, like any legitimate non-custodial protocol, will never ask for your seed phrase, private key, or wallet password through the interface, support chat, email, or social media. Anyone requesting this information is attempting fraud — do not share it.
Always confirm you are on the official raydex.org domain before connecting a wallet or approving a transaction, and bookmark it rather than following links from search ads or unsolicited messages. Never approve a transaction you don't understand, and double-check program addresses against official channels.
Review the program being called, the token accounts involved, and the exact amounts shown in your wallet's simulation before you sign. RayDEX only requests the approvals needed for the swap you initiated — unfamiliar or unlimited delegate requests should always be scrutinized before signing.
No. RayDEX is non-custodial by design — tokens move directly from your wallet through the swap program to your wallet in one atomic transaction. RayDEX never takes custody of user funds and cannot freeze or move assets on your behalf.
RayDEX supports Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, Glow, Ledger, and any wallet compatible with the Solana Wallet Adapter standard, including mobile wallets via the Solana Mobile Wallet Adapter. Phantom is the recommended default for the smoothest experience.
Install the Phantom browser extension or open the Phantom mobile app, click "Connect Wallet" on RayDEX, choose Phantom from the list, and approve the connection request. Your SOL and SPL token balances will appear automatically once connected.
Yes. A Ledger device can be connected directly or through Phantom's hardware wallet integration, letting you sign each swap on-device for maximum security while still using RayDEX's routing engine.
This is usually caused by an unconfirmed connection, a wallet set to the wrong account, or a token whose associated token account hasn't been created yet. Try reconnecting your wallet, confirming the correct account is active in Phantom, and refreshing the page.
RayDEX only reads your public wallet address to display balances and build transactions for you to approve. No private keys or signing authority are ever stored, and disconnecting your wallet at any time revokes the session immediately.
Yes. Disconnect your current wallet from the top-right menu, then connect a different supported wallet at any time. Balances and quotes refresh automatically for the newly connected address.
Solana offers sub-second finality, fractions-of-a-cent transaction costs, and one of the deepest and most active DEX ecosystems in crypto. By focusing entirely on Solana, RayDEX can specialize its routing engine around Solana's specific liquidity landscape rather than spreading effort across many chains.
SPL (Solana Program Library) is Solana's token standard, comparable to Ethereum's ERC-20. It defines how fungible tokens are issued, transferred, and tracked on Solana. USDC on Solana, for example, is an SPL token and one of the most heavily traded assets on the network.
On Solana, each wallet needs a separate "associated token account" for every SPL token it holds. The first time you receive a new token, a small amount of SOL is used to cover the rent-exempt balance for that account — this is a one-time cost per token, not a RayDEX fee.
RayDEX itself focuses purely on Solana-native swaps. To bring assets from another network onto Solana, use a dedicated cross-chain bridge first, then swap the resulting SPL token on RayDEX once it lands in your Solana wallet.
RayDEX's core product is fungible SPL token swapping. NFT trading support is in active development and will appear under the "NFT" tab once available.
Every RayDEX swap returns a transaction signature you can look up on any public Solana block explorer to independently verify the route, amounts, and finality of your trade on-chain.
Compute units measure how much processing a transaction consumes on Solana, similar in spirit to gas on other chains but capped per block rather than auctioned continuously. RayDEX optimizes its routed transactions to stay within efficient compute limits so swaps confirm reliably even during busy periods.
Solana produces blocks roughly every 400 milliseconds with practical finality in a couple of seconds, which is significantly quicker than most general-purpose smart contract chains. This is a major reason RayDEX chose to build exclusively on Solana rather than as a multi-chain product.
Official support is available through the links in the RayDEX footer, including Telegram and Discord. Support staff will never ask for your seed phrase or private key — treat any such request as a scam attempt.
Once a transaction is broadcast and confirmed on Solana it cannot be cancelled, though Solana's fast blocks mean this window is very short. You can always cancel before signing by closing the confirmation prompt in your wallet.
Small differences happen when the pool price shifts between the moment you request a quote and the moment your transaction confirms on-chain. This is normal and is exactly what the slippage tolerance setting is designed to bound.
RayDEX's protocol fee already sits near the lowest end of the market for all users by default. Any future tiered-fee or loyalty program would be announced through official RayDEX channels.
A rug-pull token is one where the creator can drain liquidity or mint unlimited supply, leaving holders with a worthless asset. Before swapping into an unfamiliar token, check its mint authority, holder distribution, and liquidity lock status on a Solana explorer — RayDEX surfaces routing data but does not vet token legitimacy.
Core program code is published for public review so anyone can verify how swaps are routed and settled on-chain. Links to the repository are available in the footer under Resources.
Yes. When a direct pool between two tokens doesn't offer the best price, RayDEX will automatically route through one or more intermediate tokens — for example USDC → SOL → BONK — if that path produces a better net output after fees.
SOL is Solana's native coin, used to pay network fees and rent, and it's the base trading pair for most pools. SPL tokens are separate program-based assets — like USDC or BONK — that live on top of Solana and are typically paired against SOL or a stablecoin in liquidity pools.
This is uncommon on Solana given its fast block times, but if it happens, check your wallet's transaction history and the transaction signature on a Solana explorer directly. A stuck prompt in the browser doesn't necessarily mean the underlying transaction failed, and RayDEX will automatically retry with a fresh blockhash if needed.
Any referral or rewards program would be announced through RayDEX's official Telegram, Discord, and Twitter/X channels. Be cautious of unofficial "reward" links circulating elsewhere, as these are a common scam vector in DeFi.
RayDEX submits every swap transaction to the Solana network, where it's processed by the validator set like any other transaction. RayDEX doesn't run its own validators or a private sequencer — your swap settles on the same public, decentralized Solana ledger as everything else.
If a newly launched token already has an active liquidity pool on one of RayDEX's aggregated sources, it will typically be swappable as soon as that pool is indexed. Very new or extremely thin pools may show higher price impact until liquidity deepens.
